    Design of Adaptive Headlights for Automobiles

    The highest fatal traffic accident rate occurs on curved roads at nighttime. Night time driving with conventional headlamps is particularly unsafe. Only 25% of the driving is done at night but 55% of the driving accidents occur during this period. The existing conventional light systems do not provide illumination in the right direction on curve roads. Due to this constrain, a need to understand an alternative technology solution. The aim is to improve visibility for driver and so achieve a significant increase in safety and driving comfort. This calls for a flexible front light for automobiles to illuminate road ahead in the night at corner. Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) helps improve driver鈥檚 visibility at night time hence achieving enhance safety. AFS (adaptive front-lighting system) used to detect information about corner in advance with help of sensor which detect the information send it to motor to adjust headlamps to get the lighting beam which was suitable for the corner. Through this way, it could avoid "blind spot" caused by the fixed lighting area when coming into the corner, and improve driving safety. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.150315

    Smart Automation By Using Zigbee and GSM

    This paper includes automation of electrical devices based upon the presence of an occupant. The number of persons going in and out of a room or lab is counted using a counting mechanism. The network is created using Zigbee transceivers. In every room, a Zigbee transceiver known as an end device. The computer has a GUI interface for the users to control the devices and also to monitor the status of the devices. For providing remote access to the user a GSM modem interfaces with the central computer or PC. This paper shows the design and implementation of a novel low-power, low-cost and hand-held wireless device called a SensePod. Senseo pods can be used by a consumer to interact with a smart home or room using simple gestures like rubbing, taping or rolling the device on any home surface like a dining table. The device is smaller and forms an ad-hoc wireless network using the ZigBee protocol, and it can be easily interfaced to existing home management systems using a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port.

    Stationary relativistic jets

    In this paper we describe a simple numerical approach which allows to study the structure of steady-state axisymmetric relativistic jets using one-dimensional time-dependent simulations. It is based on the fact that for narrow jets with vz鈮坈vz鈮坈 the steady-state equations of relativistic magnetohydrodynamics can be accurately approximated by the one-dimensional time-dependent equations after the substitution z=ctz=ct. Since only the time-dependent codes are now publicly available this is a valuable and efficient alternative to the development of a high-specialised code for the time-independent equations. The approach is also much cheaper and more robust compared to the relaxation method. We tested this technique against numerical and analytical solutions found in literature as well as solutions we obtained using the relaxation method and found it sufficiently accurate. In the process, we discovered the reason for the failure of the self-similar analytical model of the jet reconfinement in relatively flat atmospheres and elucidated the nature of radial oscillations of steady-state jets

    I review the development of numerical evolution codes for general relativity based upon the characteristic initial value problem. Progress in characteristic evolution is traced from the early stage of 1D feasibility studies to 2D axisymmetric codes that accurately simulate the oscillations and gravitational collapse of relativistic stars and to current 3D codes that provide pieces of a binary black hole spacetime. Cauchy codes have now been successful at simulating all aspects of the binary black hole problem inside an artificially constructed outer boundary. A prime application of characteristic evolution is to extend such simulations to null infinity where the waveform from the binary inspiral and merger can be unambiguously computed. This has now been accomplished by Cauchy-characteristic extraction, where data for the characteristic evolution is supplied by Cauchy data on an extraction worldtube inside the artificial outer boundary. The ultimate application of characteristic evolution is to eliminate the role of this outer boundary by constructing a global solution via Cauchy-characteristic matching.     Abrasive water jet machining (AWJM) is a relatively new machining technique. Abrasive Water Jet Machining is extensively used in many industrial applications. AWJM is a non-conventional machining process where material is removed by impact erosion of high pressure high velocity of water and entrained high velocity of grit abrasives on a work piece. There are so many process parameter affect quality of machined surface cut by AWJM. Important process parameters which mainly affect the quality of cutting are traverse speed, hydraulic pressure, stand of distance, abrasive flow rate and types of abrasive. Important quality parameters in AWJM are Material Removal Rate (MRR), Surface Roughness (SR), Kerf width, tapering of Kerf.
